The only thing stopping Durant from approaching MJ scoring titles is Westbrook/Harden and perhaps a coaching change in the future to a more grind out offensive system.

Kevin Durant has moved ahead of Kobe Bryant for the scoring title after yesterday's game. I'd like to see Kobe win the scoring title. This will probably be his last chance to get (another) one.

Durant and Kobe are currently tied with two scoring titles each. If Durant won, this would already be his third scoring title.

Jeez, Durant is still only 23 years old. Durant would have the next 8-12 years to rack up a few more of these things ... how many could he end up finishing with?

Michael Jordan is the All-Time leader with 10 scoring titles. Wilt is second with 7. Gervin and Iverson have 4 apiece tied in third place. By winning his third scoring title, Durant would be tied in 5th place ... at 23 years of age. Wow.

I care more about assist titles.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Chris Paul has obviously been teaching his teammates how to flop.

Tony Allen having a "monster" night:

8 rebounds, 13 points, 8 steals.

He's awesome. Franchise record, 8 steals.

I see that the Clippers and Hawks are playing tonight. I really want Atlanta to win. Both of Boston's picks have the potential to move a position or 2 better in the draft based on how these next 3 days go.

I like the idea of having picks 21 and 23 instead of 23 and 25.

Fan-tanking!

Clippers vs Knicks tonight.

Go Knicks!!

I want to see that Clipper pick firmly slide into the 22/23 zone! A nice change from what appeared to be a 25/26 pick not too long ago.

Plus the thought of a Heat Knicks first round match up sounds like a lot of fun.

The HEAT fans are such a bunch cry babies and total losers...they are so worried and upset that Orlando is beating the Bobcats..... they are scard silly and crying about having to face the Knicks. They have the 2 1/2 men team with LEbrickster...I'm sorry..    ...if the CHEAT is so great then it should be no problem to sweep the Knicks.

I never heard such crying in all my life ... they really have alot of faith in their team. Boo Hoo ...the Cheat have to face a team that will play ruff BACK with little D Wade  .

HEAT fans cry baby teenagers...

I hope the Knicks destroy the Cheat and lousy Wade

So Durant came up with back-to-back 32 point performances to give him 1850 points for the season and an average of 28.03 points per game.

Kobe is on 1616 in 58 contests for an average of 27.86ppg with one game left to play. He would need at least 38 points to inch past Durant (28.034 to 28.030).

Lakers final game is against the Sacramento Kings. One of the worst defensive teams in the league (3rd worst in defensive efficiency). Their starting two guard, Marcus Thornton, is a a weak defensive player. Tyreke Evans may switch over on Kobe. He is solid enough but won't receive enough help (team defense) elsewhere. Looks like an ideal team to play against to go on a scoring binge.

Could be a fun final day for the scoring title.

Reports say Kobe will get to make the final call on whether or not he plays.

I wouldn't be shocked he he takes 40 shots if necessary. Shades of the Admiral in 1994.

Looks like Kobe's out.  Color me surprised...despite all the talk about not caring about the title, I really thought he'd go for it.  Too bad, we haven't had a really good final day scorefest in quite awhile.

That sucks ... Go out and make a run at it. Have a bit of fun with it.

Too much seriousness. It's one day, one game. Enjoy the small challenge (one-upping the younger Durant for the scoring title) before you take on the big one (Championship).
