Minny is on a tear. They are currently in that 8th spot in the West. They are directly alligned, right now, for a playoff showdown with our friends from OKC.

That would be a VERY interesting matchup for OKC, IMO. The way that Kevin Love has been playing of late, I have a feeling that Love won't be patient or kind to Serge or Perk. The man is hard to keep off the boards, and he is developing a Dirk-like range and efficiency. Love's range alone would render Serge nearly ineffective.

I'm thinking that Durant would be spending a lot of time chasing Love.

Nikola Pekovic, if healthy, is nearly as big and strong as Perk. Not sure if the C spot would be a clear matchup advantage either way.

OKC would probably win in 6 games - but their perimeter guys would have to take advantage of Minny's, which I think they could. Westbrook and Harden has the advantage, here.

But don't sleep on Ricky. Rubio is no slouch and has an uncanny feel for the game about him to be so young.

Wouldn't THAT be a story - Minny does to OKC this year what MEM did to San Antonio last year.

Minnesota fans have had very little to cheer about since KG's departure (and didn't have much before then either!). Hope they can hang onto 8th spot, I don't really want them to knock out OKC though.

No Kevin Love tonight for Minnesota but I am having a lot of fun watching this starting lineup:

PG - Rubio
OG - Ridnour
SF - Wesley Johnson
PF - Derrick Williams
C  - Pekovic

The movement and quickness of Wesley Johnson and Derrick Williams at the two forward spots in combination with their guard play and interior play of Pekovic is a beautiful sight. They are causing LA's slow footed forwards (Artest, P.Gasol) a lot of problems with their activity.

I keep forgetting that Rubio played in Spain for all those years, so he does have a good amount of basketball experience.

I was among those who thought that he wouldn't do well at this level.

Bucks beat the Knicks.  Interesting and rarely discussed side note:  C's own Milwaukee's 2nd round pick this year, but only if the Bucks make the playoffs (45 protected). Bucks are 2 games out of the 8th seed after tonght's win.  Not a big deal, but with a deep draft, be nice to have an additional shot.   The pick is forfeited if the C's don't get it this year.

Think I jinxed the poor old Timberwolves

What an absolute kick in the guts - playing without K Love and JJ Barea they looked the better team for the majority of the game against LA. Only to have it slip away at the end thanks to referees not calling a foul by Gasol and of course the final insult of the potential torn ACL with Rubio. Hopefully it isn't that bad but all indications are it probably is.

Hopefully they can all recover.
