Waived by the Heat.
Knock down three point shooter that knows our system.
Pretty sure there's only one roster spot but Eddie would be nice for 6-7 points a game off three pointers and open jump shots- you know he's gonna hit open threes all day.

Problems:
*age
*lack of defense (although he hustles his ass off every play)
*lack of athleticism

Pros:
*excellent 3 point shooter
*knows our system
*will play at any time/doesn't care about playing time.
*good opportunity for us to take advantage of weak NBA bench defenses running him off picks for open threes like Ray- whilst having him guard their slower guard on the court.
*Played well in Miami in very limited minutes (averaged 6.5 points )
* great guy for practice/ locker room.

Or keep the roster spot open for a big man?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

We no longer have a roster spot open, I think we're pretty set in stone.

Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe

Keep it open and try nabbing someone down the line from overseas

Yep. We'd have to cut someone. Don't see them giving up on Bradley or Moore yet, and we can't afford to cut Stitsema due to his size.

Can't sign him regardless of pros and cons.

I have faith in Bradley, but Eddie might be good in case after extended minutes, Bradley doesn't pan out.
Eddie could sit on the bench all year and then come out in the playoffs and play exactly the same.
He forces teams to stretch the floor on defense too because of his insane 3 point shooting.

I'm saying if we have one more roster spot, and they are happy with the bigs we have, why not Eddie?
Unless they think Pryzbilla will suit up? Even then I don't think we'll be able to afford him.
Eddie will play for the minimum too.
Just an idea.

Well they may rethink this now.
If the roster is full then I guess they're gonna run with it.
Eddie would be nice insurance way down the end of the bench because we know exactly what we're getting.

Dooling is the best back up guard we have had.  He's very important to our bench.

Sure, let's bring back Eddie so he can get trapped by full court pressure again  ::) Do you all forget how much of a headache that was to watch? Eddie is washed up, much like Posey.

He would only be useful in certain situations now, and here isn't one of them.

why tho? lol he couldnt dribble as someone pointed out them half court traps, he's a super streaky shooter which is why he's bounced around the league so much sure he's hit a few big shots for us but ya'll are forgetting the negatives

He also is probably the 3rd best shooter on the team, and the best on our bench. I can understand certain qualms about Dooling, but shooting doesn't seem to be an issue.

Problems:
*age
*lack of defense (although he hustles his ass off every play)
*lack of athleticism
*lack of any ability to handle the ball
*below 40% 3-point shooter over the past 3 years
*generally sucks at basketball

Pros:
*Used to be a good 3 point shooter, and isn't dreadful at shooting now...
*knows our system from 2 years ago
*great guy for practice/ locker room.

Fixed that for you. Needless to say, I'd hold out for someone else.

Yes, though not as skilled as Delonte, I think I actually prefer Dooling.  He seems to have a better track record with health.  Now would I welcome Eddie House back? Sure I would, but to be honest it's not for Eddie.  Eddie can't offer this team much, but watching his son run underneath the basket, lift his shirt and slap his stomach while LeBron shot a foul shot was one of the greatest things I've ever seen in an NBA game.
do it
