They need to come back in the 3rd and just take over. I don't expect a win, but I would love to crush the Knicks fans hearts today especially after the first 2 quarters with them feeling like they have it in the bag.
Ray needs to come on with the 3's and KG needs to show up.

KG has one rebound so far. He's dropped off so much.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
We need to take it to Melo, make him play defense. Otherwise, he's just going to wear out whoever we put on him and will save all his energy for offense. He's not a very good defender--expose it! The best way to stop Carmelo is to keep him on the bench.

I think the old guys need a few games to get into rhythm and get their legs back.

They won't look so old in a week or two.

Well, we're losing but on the bright side Rondo's free throw's, even the form look much, much improved.

Just hoping he shows some consistency.

Ex. Rondo and PP, nobody on this team can create their own shot. Knicks playing right up in everyones face, and not even letting their man catch a pass.
Knicks getting every loose ball, every rebound, and except for Rondo, we can't do a thing! Pitiful.
Gonna be a very long season!

That Carmelo Anthony match-up is brutal without Pierce and Green.  He got anything he wanted against Marquis.  Hoping for a stronger defensive showing out of KG and JO in the 2nd half.

Rondo's been the best player on the floor, but the pace is favoring the Knicks.

Could it be that the longer off season and short season works against the vets???

IMO the long offseason/short camp hurts, but the short season will help in the end.

I expect this team to really hit its stride in the 2nd half of the year.

Who are we guarding? I honestly think I might be able to score a basket today if I were playing for the Knicks (on a kick-out, anyway).

Maybe it will be a tale of two halves. The Celtics are taking Q's from the Patriots..... Fall behind early and then put the clamps down and pull games out.

That is my theory and I am sticking to it.

More likely, the play will be random the first few weeks of the season. But I like what Bass and Wilcox can bring for the Celtics underneath and of course Rondo is being Rondo.

I hope KG and Ray Ray go off in the 2nd half.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Ray was starting to fired up let's hope he can come back strong for the finish.

Its not how you start...its how you finish. Its only the first game of the season. Lots of games to be played still.
