I love the guy's game. I know he isn't a go to scorer, but can he be a starter on a legit championship contending team? I think he can, but only if you have an all-star sg,sf and center....

He's a below average starter, and an above average bench PF.

He definitely is a useful player and could have a future with the C's, it all depends on his play this year and his contract demands.

From what I've seen he's a nice role player to have but not someone I'd overpay to keep.

Solid starter, great bench guy. If i had to choose between him and Glen Davis as a future asset i'm definitely going with Big Bad Brandon Bass.

agreed,  he can start and be good if the rest of starting team is solid, kind of like perk
if its rondo, bradley, bass, green and wilcox then ugh ,  however if we needed bass to start with our current starters it would be fine like when posey or even scal would spot start

ps-as far as future, I'd love he, rondo, green and jj to be the next group (with some big time fa signings) of celtics!

I strongly believe that Brandon Bass could be a part of the Celtic's future.

He reminds me of Paul Milsap, in size and production, plus he is still rather young. His Per 36 min round out to over 15pts, nearly 8 boards, and a block. Plus he has a decent defensive rating:

To me, he could certainly put up Millsap-like numbers.

Millsap proves to me that you could be undersized and start in this league.

Agree, although I'd rephrase the last part of your last sentence as "it all depends on his play this year and the amount other teams want to pay for him."
Celtics fan for life.

This is a few week old thread, but Bass is sooooooo good! I think he could definitely be a starter in the future for the c's and can be a starter on a contending team in the future!

But he will obviously opt out of his contract after this year. How much is he worth?

I would give him a 4 year 32 mil contract easily

If he keeps this up, yes. I see no reason why he can't. He was a solid hand in Orlando and he will be here.
Signed to a 6 year $0 contract with the Celtics Blog forum!

Not likely.

I think he is playing himself into a bigger contract then the Celtics want to spend as they go into a rebuilding phase.  If the Celtics were still in the middle of the title contending run, yes.

I would love him as our 6th man of the future.  Love what he brings to the table.  As a starter?  It is possible but the rest of the starting lineup would have to be strong, because I don't think he's really that good.  I like him more off the bench.

We will see what he gets offered after this season and if he is willing to take less to play for us.  I'm sure someone will offer to overpay him but it will not be Ainge.

I would love to see him playing this role for the Celtics for years to come. Problem is is that he will most likely be getting a hefty contract and Im not so sure he would fill a position the Celtics would need to build around for spending that kind of cash. We will be in rebuilding mode and I dont think Bass is a huge piece to build around.
