I feel like this guy is basically unknown. Last year he averaged 10/8. Thats real quality for a center in the nba right now. I'm not necesarily posting this cause we need to trade for him (though it would be nice to have him on the team), I'm just pointing this dude out.

1) I would not say he's basically "unknown"...the league knows him quite well.

2) I think he's a dumb basketball player.  Athletic, yes.  But that's about it.  Plus, no way the Wiz are going to just hand him away...they'd require a pretty hefty fetch in return.

Wizards will most likely sign him to an extension before the season is over.

Javale McGee is just what the Celtics need right now in youthful athleticism at the Center position. Too bad we can't offer anything the Wizards would want in return. I would do the Clippers pick & Johnson, Avery buy Wizards would probably turn us down.

I only know that he jumps very high and that he lacks veteran savvy. I didn't know he was dumb :O.

Obviously its a case of "if we can get him then sure, go ahead". You can't teach size and all front offices are at least smart enough to know that (case in point: DeAndre Jordan).

I like the dude, seriously. Rooted for him in the slam dunk competition. But seriously.

No, he is a knucklehead.

I wouldn't mind him on the Celtics, I just think he will be one of the more overpayed C in this league.

I didn't say he was a dumb PERSON.  I said he was a dumb BASKETBALL PLAYER.  Meaning: low basketball IQ.  I don't know him personally, so I have no clue what kind of an individual he is.  But as stated above, he's overrated and isn't learning the basic nuances of the game at a very high rate.  Because the NBA is now devoid of very good back-to-the-basket, low post players, he's actually a top player at the center position by default.  But he will never be worth a large contract, of which some team might pay.

However, if you look at their owners track record, he doesn't hand out many long-term deals.....

Yeah, I know you meant low basketball IQ, kind of like our very own Avery Bradley at this point in time. Should have elaborated :P.

If their owner doesn't retain him, I'd overpay him to an extent and if the situation is right. His athleticism and size combination is worth it (perhaps Joakim Noah 2.0?), especially when we have Rondo.

He can jump through the roof... thats about it. I love his athleticism but dude is skinny as a rail. He's good to have laying in the weeds for a big block and can out jump guys to get good garbage buckets but he isnt certainly not the sharpest knife in the drawer by any means. Hes fun to watch sometimes but other times he is too Andre Blatche - like for me.

For every fantastic block and great dunk you see this guy make on the highlights, there 3 times as many bonehead plays and plays where easy buckets are given up bc he's out of position.  No thanks

Nick Young could be a nice player to look at next year.  He is however a knucklehead as well, but you're gonna have that label with just about any player you get from the Wiz bc Gilbert Arenas was the model that they learned to conduct themselves from.
