Yes, but his team might want to release him:

Another player who won't sign here for numerous reasons. He would not settle for a league min first of all.

This is a guy who signed overseas knowing that the season runs till Feb/Mar however he thinks he's above it and doesn't take the consequences of signing. Plays head games to get the Chinese team to release him.

We need a Center, if not a shooter. Not another PF.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
The only Nugget I'd want is Wilson Chandler- who we have no hope of getting.
Leave Smith and that other scrub KMart to rot in China. Terrible attitudes.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Kenyon would be great.  Free up Bass and/or Wilcox as trade bait.

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson

Wilson Chandler or Ak47 would be absolutely perfect.  Unfortunately they are probably out of our price range.

At least one of these overseas NBA player will be taking the minimum to get back into the league this year, since most teams are over the cap and don't have MLE and MMLE to use.

If you were a player looking to get a big contract next year, would you want to play for a scrub team for a couple or months for a pro rated portion of $2m, or a contender for a pro rated portion of the minimum?  I'll take the playoff exposure of the contender, especially if I'm a KMart who has already banked $108 million, or an AK-47, with $91m.

Rather have Wilson Chandler or AK 47.

Picking up one of these guys is our best hope for improving the bench. The thing is, what does our bench need most, a go to scorer like jr smith or a defensive energy guy like ak47? I would go with smith, who can create his own shot and add much needed offense.

Except for KMart, aren't most of the Chinese league players restricted free agents? How would the Celtics acquire them, without their NBA teams simply matching/beating any offer?

I'd love JR Smith but I believe he's restricted and Denver would match the min with a smile on their face.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz

Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I'd rather have Bass and Wilcox play than the wash up-often injured Martin. ;D
