Lakers get eliminated the first round.

Not too sure about that. I think the signing of Gerald Green pretty much ensures them their 17th banner.

Rookie of the year will be on the Timberwolves.

Pacers will be in the eastern conference finals.

Raptors will be the worst team in the league.

Lakers will not have home court advantage in playoffs.

Kevin Durant will be MVP

Nothing earth shattering.

I could see Chris Paul getting the MVP. There will be a media love-fest with the Clippers when they start turning that ship around. Paul will get most of the credit.

yeah, if they get a top 5 record (longshot, but possible), i expect him to get MVP.  although if the Thunder get the number 1 overall seed, or even just the #1 seed in the West, I expect Durant to get it.

Pacers will be in the eastern conference finals.

Wow, that IS bold.

I definitely see the Pacers as an up and coming team, that with a few more right moves could be a serious contender in the next couple of seasons, but I definitely don't see them making a deep playoff run this year. Collison disappeared last year's playoffs, he clearly needs more experience to play when it really counts. Granger, hopefully, will continue to play at the same level (though I do find it worrying how bad his regular season was, even if he got on fire for the playoffs).

I think this year they make a good showing in the playoffs, but get knocked out in a tough grind against a true contender, which will give them the experience those youngsters need to take it to the next level in the next season.

But that's just me ... I am excited to see this team bloom.

A serious bold prediction:

Taj Gibson of the Bulls wins most improved player of the year award.  This guy just looks really, really good.  He now has a low post game, and knocks down jumpers with consistency.  Keep an eye on him...

OKC and the Cs make the Finals.

Man would that stir up things on Celticsblog.

I'd pay money to see that!!!

i like taj, but im not sure he'll get enough minutes to be a MIP candidate.

usually the MIP is a guy that gets a lot more minutes than he has gotten before, not necessarily a guy who suddenly produces a lot more on a per minute basis.

with that in mind, i think Tyrus Thomas (20-10 guy per 40 minutes) is a candidate, as is Roddy Beaubois (averaged 19 points per 36 minutes over his 2 year career).

Hmmm ... maybe DeMarcus Cousins?

With more minutes, he bursts into that legit 20-10 stratosphere.

Grizzlies win the west, haters everywhere realize that Rudy Gay is the best 3rd option since RRay in 08.

I think Kyrie Irving has the RoY award locked up. I don't see any challengers.
I see Jimmer having major success and "experts" giving him the Tebow treatment.
