Despite Green's absence I still believe in this team.
I know the heart of KG,Ray and Paul. I know Marquis gonna put some good numbers and we gonna see Rondo like we havnt seen before. And you know what? I guess JO and Wilcox and Bass will do great in the paint. So I believe in Doc getting the most of this team in their journey to banner 18.
Its all about heart!!!!
 Lets go Celtics

Well put, I still believe too. Also, kudos to the celtics medical staff for picking up Green's aorta problem and potentially saving his life. If they didn't catch this now, it could have been a total disaster.

I'm not going to be all negative either. I still see this team doing well this year. 18 I'm not so sure about.
Signed to a 6 year $0 contract with the Celtics Blog forum!

Thank you guys for bring positive about all this. People seem more concerned on other threads with the "season being over before ot began" than with Jeff's health. This is basketball, and even though im infatuated with it, for some reason i care more about Jeff Green than if we are a 1st round exit, which for some other strange reason, I dont think we are.

Honestly, what happened to green clearly didn't help our chances. However, you can't write off a team with four potential all stars before the season even starts.

To me being a fan isn't just about wins and losses it's about watching young players develop, a team coming together and exceeding expectations. Even if we flounder this year we will get the chance to see the next wave of celtics mature grow and compete. I'm excited to see rondo take the jump to elite I'm excited to see moore johnson and bradley get better and contribute.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

it all comes down to injuries...if Wilcox can fill the shaq role(scoring in the post) and Marquis stays healthy I think we are in good shape just like we were last year before injuries hit.

we were hit with an unnatural amount of injuries last year at the wrong times that killed any momentum we had...along with BBD regressing in the playoffs to horrible

Rondo-plantar whatever its called and then dislocating his elbow
Delonte-broken wrist/numerous injuries
Shaq-achilles
JO-Knee
Marquis- freak spine injury
essentially putting a whole new bench together at the trade deadline

I still believe in the Celtics, my favorite pro sports team of all time.

I don't believe they are going to win the championship this year, but so be it. I will still be at the games.

I am looking forward to watching the new guys play and to the rebuilding process. It will be painful, but I sat through the 19-game losing streak and I doubt it can get much worse than that.

Do not underestimate Brandon Bass. This guy has tons of potential.

I think it's gonna be his breakout year.

Dallas lost Butler, they became champions.  Memphis lost Gay they upset the number one seed and took the thunder to 7 games.  New Orleans lost David West, they took the Lakers to 6 games.  If some people here want to give up, that's their choice.  I refuse to believe that we're less tough mentally than Dallas, Memphis or New Oleans.  As long as we have our starting 5, and Doc, we're the best team.

I definitely believe. Wilcox, Bass, and Marquis are legit. Our starting five is going to dominate as always. Our third stringers can play long minutes in the regular season.

It's not just the Celtics that are depending on health. Every team depends on health every year.

Question is open actually.

How healthy will be Celtics in playoff - that's the question.
1 is out for now, bad start. But start is not finish

Our usual playoff bench is 4 persons long. Who are them for now?  Marquis, Bass, Wilcox and somebody from the rest. Actually not so bad
