Who do we need to get to replace Jgreen.. I like all three options, however I also like the idea of playing the boys from Purdue (JJ--Moore)..

  • Rondo = Good
Id take thornton, but no posey.  We dont need any mummies shambling around on the court.

Haha. Keeping your sense of humor, at least.

Posey is done. Thornton would be okay.

I'm cheering for Thornton and Stevenson. Stevenson might be ideal, actually.

2023 Historical Draft: Toronto Raptors

Point Guard: Anfernee Hardaway, Fat Lever, Terrell Brandon
Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe
Center: Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka

sould stevenson take the vet min tho? if we had the MLE i'd say we have a strong chnce but i think he resigns with dallas al thorton would be okay as well

this year we really have to be the BEST TEAM in every sence of the word its going to take all 12-15 guys & the whole staff to bring the banner in ..wouldnt have it any other way though

Dallas is offering him the minimum and he might take it, I don't see why he wouldn't consider Boston - more playing time (considering they added West, Carter, Beaubois is back, Terry still there), a chance to win another championship, more of a spotlight playing against guys like Melo and Lebron.

Seems like a perfect fit, really.

Stevenson would be a nice addition scrappy and would fit right in, is all he is being offered is the vet min?

Danny needs to jump on that

Marquis Daniels is a superior player to all available minimum contract options.

Ergo, the question isn't who should replace Jeff Green but who should replace Marquis Daniels' old role? Who should be brought in to backup Marquis and provide adequate to quality depth behind Daniels on the wing?

For me?

Bring back the Hugs :).

I'd rather have Posey back. Sure he's a bit older and didn't look good in NOH or Indy, but with us I bet he'd be effective.

I'd say Stevenson. He could bring a spark off the bench.

I would want Deshawn Stevenson....I dont think he really can find any minutes in Dallas with Vince carter, Terry, delonte, odom(who can play the 3) theyre loaded at his position.

the guy is a scrappy defender and can rain it from 3(like we saw in the playoffs) doesnt hurt that he hates lebron. the guy has played well on the biggest stage..I say we go after him!

I agree with this.  If Marquis somehow stays healthy, he's very capable of playing 30 mpg and eating up the bulk of the backup 2/3 minutes.

At this point, I'd roll the dice on Posey and see who is available in March.

Posey won't be the same, but could he play 5-10 mpg and provide a spark off of the bench?  Maybe.  Remember, everyone thought Deion Branch was done before he was reunited with Tom Brady.

Add Ainge binky Travis Outlaw to your list please.  He was just amnestied by the Nets.   He's probably going to be claimed by one of the under the cap teams, since's a decent young player for the minimum, but with most of the spots filled on rosters across the league, there's a chance he clears through the claim period.
