As I stated yesterday on this board, once we learn Jeff Green is Reggie Lewis, our season will be toast. Who is backing up Pierce? Oh, right, my grandma and some commie who should be a towel manager in the D-League. So for trading Perk we will get the 23rd pick in the 2012 draft. YEAH!!! So Excited!

BREAK THE TEAM UP NOW. SEASON OVER.

Yeah, no need to start the season then, I think we should just forfeit and send our players fishing already. ::)

And if we get Medical Exception and sign JR Smith? Would you still think the season was over? Isn't Smith's scoring something we've wanted from our bench for some time now? I think we'll be fine with Daniels and Smith at the wings.

Drucci, do you honestly think we will win a title this year? We are going to have to start over. We are not winning bupkiss this year. I want to know if the Thunder knew about this and sold us damaged goods.

See the following: "Thread, The Sky is Falling"

;)

Patience. The season is not over. A lot can happen in a condensed season, including interesting trades at the deadline. Just enjoy the ride.
Celtics fan for life.

I doubt we have the goods to beat Miami, because they are getting stronger. Heck I think we are behind the Bulls. This is 1992 all over again.

The real challenge to stay relevant with Pierce and Rondo going forward from this season.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

What medical exception for a team over the cap? JR Smith plays the 2. We have been screwed. I just want to know if the Thunder knew about this and sold us damaged goods.

I don't know if we will, our chances probably look lesser than last year.

With that said, you never know what can happen, especially in a shortened season. I would have never expected the Mavs to win it all last year. The Celtics were expected to get swept in the first round in '10. Sure, this isn't the same situation but as long as we are healthy I like our chances.

Problem is, health has been failing us for the past three years but we'll see what happens. And I certainly don't see the point of blowing the team up now.

Already Pierce is on the shelf so we have to play to complete stiffs at the three. I will bet good money that we trade Ray Allen by the deadline.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
Some of the posters on this blog totally baffle me. Some of the same people who were screeching about Jeff Green being a terrible player and mocking his (near) re-signing are the same people saying how screwed the team is without him. Hilarious.

Garnett is also hurt, although I believe he will play tomorrow versus Toronto. Hurt his thumb in practice on Friday. Pavlovic also has an injured hand, although that really doesn't matter.

As for the season being over, no. There are 66 games to play. As far as the Celtics winning the championship, I don't think they were going to win it prior to the Green issue and I don't think they are going to do it after the Green situation.

I am not a Jeff Green fan, which is why even prior to this serious medical situation, I had the Celtics third at best in the East and a second round out in the playoffs. However, it appears to me that the Celtics highly value Green given that they were willing to pay him $9 million this year. So, given that, and given the fact that he was penciled in to be Pierce's main backup, I have moved their seeding down to 4th-6th and think they could now go out either in the first round or the second round of the playoffs.

Because a team would really withold a serious medical condition from the player himself just to get another player in a trade? I'm pretty positive each player has to pass physical when they get traded(ie: perkins trade last year) and Jeff Green passed it back then.

No need to get sour about it and start thinking some team is conspiring against us.
