Just wondering what everyone thought about Stuckey and whether Joe Dumars would ever consider a sign and trade of Stuckey to the Celtics along with either Ben Wallace or Jason Maxiell and future 1st round draft pick for Rondo?

Rondo is much, much better than Stuckey. No comparison. No way would I trade him for Stuckey.

Yeah, Stuckey is kind of like a poor man's Monta Ellis. Gets his teammates involved as a second option, not first.

That kind of return on Rondo isn't a bad one, but I think it would basically signify the end of the Celtics' title hopes and the beginning of a rebuild.

We sure about that? Stuckey averages 15.5 pts per game to Rondo's 10.6 pts per game

If this team gets Stuckey I will literally not watch them this year.

You have really bad ideas.

I like Stuckey. It'd be great if Danny could find a way to get Stuckey here to Boston to play behind Rajon Rondo. Use him as a combo guard backing up both Rondo and Ray.

Maybe an expiring contract + draft pick (two picks?).

Will Danny give him a multi year 8-9 mil per kind of deal?

Because that's what he is demanding.

Doubtful.

It'd be worth considering though especially with 2012 FA options dwindling.

And 5 assists a game, compared to Rondo's 11-12, and he has a lower career TS% than Rondo. Just what the Celts have been looking for, a fairly inefficient, shoot first pg that won't be in any rush to pass the ball to the big three. Oh, and he's not exactly an all-nba defender.

There's more to being a basketball than scoring. Stuckey may have averaged a rather inefficient 15.5 pts last yr (pretty pedestrian considering how bad the Pistons were), but he only managed 5.2 assists per game.
