Better than seeing him at point guard... I dont think he'll see much time however. Hopefully Daniels and Pavlo take his minutes.
Pavlovic? The guy is worthless I still don't get the signing.
"7ft PG. Rondo leaves and GUESS WHAT? We got a BIGGER point guard!"-Tommy on Olynyk

Avery Bradley?????  Please, if he averages 10 minutes a game then we are in trouble.  He won't play and his the only value he will have is in a trade.

And I agree, Doc won't play him once he make one mistake.

Wow...only 2 hating comments. Cool.

In the long run, we'd need a 2 or a 3 that can both run the offense and play defense if we keep Bradley. Austin Rivers or OJ Mayo?

Not Wade but Derrick Rose will be extremely bothered.

Bradley can be a much, much, much better Nate Robinson with Doc's mentorship, which will happen this season.

One of the biggest bright spots of the offseason for me has been Doc's recognition of this.  Bradley's shown an ability to shoot (38% from 3 in college, 37% in the D-league), and his defensive value is easily recognized, but he's completely incapable of playing point guard.  Can't dribble against pressure, a bad passer, non-existent dribble drive game and very little court awareness.  But he has tremendous defensive potential, good speed, and the makings of a good jump shot.  Simplifying the game by letting him play strictly as a shooting guard (none of this combo guard business: he shouldn't be making decisions other than shooting or swinging the ball) and defending the more difficult match-up of the opposing guards, should give him a much better chance to "make hay" as Doc says.

I don't get this....I mean doesn't this mean that Danny didn't draft well. Can you see him on the court the same time at Rondo??? defenses will always sag off of Rondo AND Bradley. Defense is good to have but Avery is what you described then maybe it was a mistake to draft him in the first place

 ???

Why would they sag off Bradley? The kid can shoot, the problem is he can't pass/ball handle.

He can't shoot in the NBA until we see him shoot in the NBA...

He certainly didnt look like a shooter last year. D-League stats can be deceiving. He has to come in to games for 10-15 minutes per night and be able to shoot. He's not going to have 30 minutes to get his jumper going. Alot of guys struggle with this kind of role.

So what skill set does he bring to the table that makes him a good back-up 2?

We seem clueless going into this season

Yes, we do.  We know he can defend at an NBA level, at a high NBA level, at that.  We actually saw it last year in the limited minutes he played.

He has the quickness to be one of the only guys on our team who can create his own shot. If he can do this it will be huge for us.
