Chris Kaman ?

According to ESPN, the Hornets will likely part with Chris Kaman or Emeka Okafor. In the "win this year" approach, I feel that CHris Kaman would fit very well on this team. He has one year left. A trade might look like this:

J ONeal, Brandon Bass and Avery Bradley and draft pick or JJJ

for

Chris Kaman

Wilcox takes Bass' minutes and our rotation would look something like this:

PG - Rondo/Dooling

SG- Ray/Quis
SF - Pierce/Quis/Sasha
PF - KG / Wilcox
C - Kaman / vet min filler/ Stiesma


All of the money still comes off the cap next year. Gives us a better shot to win THIS YEAR while still having value going forward.


Hornets might do it. get a couple of young pieces and a couple of guys who can win right now.

certainly worth considering, although it would be nice not to give up 2 or more big men to get one back.


we'd have to be really confident in kaman's health and in his ability to put our team over the top, since we'd be giving up avery and probably a pick in such a deal.

Doubt New Orleans takes Bass because he can opt-in next year and they won't want to take on salary. A pick would need to be added to this as well or why would NO even do it? Bradley?

Yeah, we can't give up JO and another big to get Kaman -- that would make a thin situation worse. And Kaman's been pretty injury-prone himself the last season or two, so bringing him on might not be the best idea.
