I can't help remembering him at camp a few years ago. As I recall he had some NBA skills but was way too fat to play.

Here it is 2 years later and he's been invited to camp. I assume they must have looked at him before the invite, but I haven't seen or heard anything about him in camp. Just wondering if anyone knows if he's actually lost some weight and could possibly play this year?

Reporters would have mentioned it if he looked better so I'm guessing he's still fat. He was massive before when we brought him in so I'm not really holding out hope. It's a shame cause if he was in shape he could be a nice player.

It's actually pretty sad--he was a solid player at Georgetown, but obviously went to the same diet guru as Big Baby (pancakes and spaghetti)...

Goodness!  Lay off of the Tiramisu Michael!!  He looks like Kemp did after the last lockout.

Man, it looks like he ate Big Baby. Kind of a shame as he looks like he could play if he dropped 100-150 lbs. Well at least they seem to love him in Italy.

Haha. You could probably find a thinner lineman or two playing on the Patriots.

I think it's amazing he has the stamina to play a full game.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I loved his game when he played for Chicago.  It's a shame he couldn't keep his weight down.

Wow that is big. My theory is he's there to give a little confidence to JuJuan Johnson and make him feel better about himself. Sorta a backwards reverse jedi mind trick

He looked like a really fast sumo wrestler last night. Not the fastest sumo wrestler, but certainly a fast sumo wrestler. He beat my expectations in that regard

It's a pity he can't get himself in NBA shape. The guy clearly knows how to play, but the weight is killing him.

ha. my worry is that sweetney would eat him.  ;)

sweetney is a good basketball player and a smart one as well. he simply ate his way out of a nba career.

right now, i am more worried about his future health than his future as an nba player.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
