THe story about the New Orleans franchise has not been written. Perhaps there is an owner waiting in the wings.

We went through that with Paul Gaston selling the Celtics to Wyc Grousebeck with that Vin Baker deal which was made for financial reasons. They delayed it while reviewing all provisions of the contract (ie ways to have it reduced or voided).

Still, I think that the Hornets will have a lot of trouble finding the right deal for Chris Paul that meets all of the "OWNER'S CRITERIA". I got this nagging feeling that Rondo, Jeff Green, and Jermaine O'Neal are going somewhere soon. Now I think these three Celtics can be traded for Paul and Okafor. The Hornets get the pleasure of Rondo's company for three years and we get Glories Last Shot in 2012. If that does come to pass, it is a fair and just deal but my opinion of David Stern will not change. I don't like David Stern. I don't like David Stern.

I do think that Stern and the NBA bought the Hornets for good reasons, which I think is to keep them in New Orleans. I am sure plenty of buyers were interested but how many would have kept them in New Orleans? Stern probably still feels some heat from the Seattle-OKC situation from a few years back.

Stern things he made the leauge what it is. But really Magic, Doctor J, Larry Bird and Jordan put them on the map.

He's done so many things that has hurt the league. All the rule changes, made players into pansies were you pretty much can't touch some one now. Moving the 3 point line in closer to score more points, one reason why there are no more post players in the league. And much much more, this is just the ice in the cake with whats been going on.

I get it they are trying to sell the team, want the most bang for the buck, but who wants to buy a team that wont have a super star on it next year???

No if its for reasons that they really do want to make the league more competitive, great. But these rules should have been layed out before the lock out ended, not making up things as you go a few weeks later. They should have just cancelled an other weeks worth of games and ironed it out. Not smart.

I don't see why who actually HAS played basketball isn't the Comish. I'd love to see Magic or Micheal handling things. Both played the game when it was at its best, and both very smart people.

You think Stern does these thing because he was never picked to play with others?
