As long as Kwame is not with the Celtics, I'm happy.

That said, great signing by Golden State. I think more teams should learn that if you're going to overpay, overpay for a one year deal. It's the multi-year deals that are bad, unless you crap on your salary cap for the year and there's still good talent out there. But that's not the case at the moment.

Wow... 7 mil a year? Thats close to Ray Allen money... That is just ridiculously absurd.

You can always leverage a player on the last year of a deal for a deadline deal to acquire positions of need - so yeah, I commend Golden State on that signing. Plus these players on one year deals are motivated to perform to get that next contract. So I think Kwame might be a double-double guy for GS and become a story.

Why not sign him to a 3yr deal instead? Whats the point signing someone for a year for $7mill?

Flexibility under the salary cap.  You know, what Ainge has been doing by refusing to sign James Posey, Tony Allen, etc to long contracts.
