the clippers took one for the league though by blocking Billups from going to the heat. This is a win for us no matter how it plays out for them.

No way does Chauncey play for the Clippers.

That squad has far too much to do to compete for title.

Have a good retirement, Chauncey.  I'm glad the Clippers called his bluff.

Wow. And that's pretty much it for the Paul to the Clippers scenarios, right?

Would Stern & Co. accept Mo Williams, Bledsoe, Aminu, Kaman and Minny #1? I think so.

But, according to ESPN, either Williams or Kaman had to be amnestied, so their contracts aren't available to match up with Paul.

What is he going to do? Hide his uniform and shoes? ;D

Riiight...So you really think that he's going to forfeit his 13-14 million dollar a year contract? I definitely doubt it.

I'm totally siked that Billups won't be playing for the Heat. But with the additions of Butler and Billups, our '12 draft pick from them isn't looking too great.

Hmm...I wasn't aware of that.

I guess they've given up on CP3.

if true, then that leaves pretty much just boston as a legit CP3 trade destination

Has Golden State presented a formal offer to DeAndre Jordan yet?

If so, the Clips would have to amnesty Kaman or Williams to do this, as reported, because there would be a cap hold in the amount of Jordan's offer sheet.

If not, the Clips would be sufficiently under the cap that they wouldn't have to amnesty anybody.

EDIT:  Reports are that the Clippers received an offer sheet on Sunday night, so unless the new CBA changed things, somebody has to be amnestied.

I think that was on the table...pretty sure they were offering everything but Griffin, and either Gordon or Minny pick but not both.  League wants both.

Edit-goes to show that Stern doesn't really like settling for "fair."

How? We don't have Green to include in our offer anymore.

Apparently the cap hold is not in the form of the offer sheet

Yes, they signed him yesterday. 4yrs/43 mil. Clippers can match though.

He "failed" his physical... Deal doesn't go through yet.
