Surprised that we've read about no interest in Landry.  He would be servicable and cheaper than West.

I'm pretty sure we'd be interested, but he should be well out of our price range.

  • #18 at any cost.
He's basically the same type of player Brandon Bass is. Don't get me wrong I'd love to add him, but he can't play the center position and doesn't rebound at a high enough rate.
KO and Zeller, aka Hopeless and Helpless aka the Twin Towers of Futility.

I haven't seen either player enough to be authoritative on the matter, but I believe Landry is the better shot-creator of the two.

Landry's craftier around the rim, better face-up game, better post game, better finisher.  Bass is the better stand-still jumpshooter.  I'd say they are comparable in strenghts and weaknesses on defense and the boards.

Yes, Carl Landry is very good playing the post. One of the betters league-wide. And probably a better defender than Bass. But such a poor rebounder, worse than Bass... if he were a better rebounder, he could be a very useful starter.

He's still a bit better than Bass, but having the two would be a bit redundant.
