can't trade Jeff Green for 90 days, but at the trade deadline

Bos sends: Green , Bradley and a future 1st(maybe)

Atl sends: Josh smith

Rondo and smith would be great together as long as there is still shooters around with KG ,PP and Ray.

Atlanta will want more than that for Josh Smith and rightly so.

Why Josh Smith?

Jeff Green has show he is capable of filling a role without the horrible shot selection.

Both Josh and Jeff are athletic and can run the floor.

Josh blocks more shots, great....but it's not worth the horrible shot selection and hijacking of the offense.

I wouldn't count on Green being traded this season.  If he is traded, he gives up his Bird rights, and that could mean a paycut for him next season.

But, I do think Smith could be a guy they could look at, if things are not looking good going into the deadline.

I would love to see Smith running the break alongside Green and Rondo with Allen as the three point trailer and Wilcox bringing up the rear... Giddy pipe dream lineup.

Agreed. Green fits better with this team and his defense against SF's was actually quite good last season. Not as flashy as Josh, but almost as effective IMO.

Josh Smith hasn't really accomplished all that much, he's just good for a couple SportsCenter-worthy plays but overall impact on a game fluctuates too much to justify his significantly larger contract (2yr/$25.6M).

Why Green again??? Runs the floor just as well as Smith. But Green has a decent out side shot. Smith...Not so much.

He would be fine if they kept Green, but not for Green.
