At that point I was starting to believe Granger would fall to us. But no.

I'm not sure it'd be that different. Had we drafted Granger, maybe. He'd have a breakout season with Pierce + Wally injured. Maybe we wouldn't have acquired Posey that off-season and count on him as the 6th man. Maybe he'd have been sent to Seattle for Ray Allen and the pick was used to draft Jeff Green? I don't know, too complicated.

Maybe Ainge decides to rebuild around Rondo+Granger+Jefferson+Perkins and that 5th pick anyway? Trading Pierce for a young SG?

If we had drafted some other guy, I think it's irrelevant. Probably included in the Garnett deal as well.

Gerald was a high point in a low season with his insane dunking antics.
Too much coffee and Gatorade. It's a hell of a mix. If you're ever tired in the morning, just try that mix, and tell me what you think. -Kevin Garnett

"My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the f***ing truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this."

putting GG in the same sentence as "low season" should tell us a lot about him.

but give indiana credit, they beat out boston then and again today. sigh.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
