What a freakin mess.  Chris Paul traded... nope... Chris Paul traded... nope.  David West signed!... nope... Dwight Howard to the Lakers... probably.  Meanwhile all these players are talking crap about Stern via twitter and badmouthing the league that's paying them millions of dollars.  Threatening to sue, etc.  The media just keeps fanning the flames and adding to the tension.  The NBA has gone full retard.

Does the league have anything planned to give back to the fans?...  free NBA League Pass or something?  I didn't even mind the lockout as much as this bushleague nonsense.

yeah, it's really turning me off the NBA.  the roller coaster of disappointment and B.S. is pretty sickening.

at this point if the celtics enter the season with the same starting 5 as they had in the playoffs it's gonna be way, way more disappointing than if none of this crazy stuff had happened in the off-season and we'd seen that group on christmas day.

The league is obviously afraid to levy fines after the long lockout.... so you have idiots like Danny Granger saying things like: "I'm changing my last name to 'Stern's Bi#&h', effective immediately."  or Deron Williams saying "Stern is a bully"...  I feel for Stern.  If I was running this league I'd put a gag order on these fools... they aren't helping the situation by running their mouths.

the Hornets are getting screwed by Stern and the NBA...

first they reject the CP3 trade that would actually get them something for paul(who will probably walk in the offseason leaving new orleans with nothing)

and they wont do a sign and trade for david west...once again...leaving them with nothing rather than having picks etc.

I bet the ratings will be as high as ever for the NBA. All this talk will only help the league.

No one forces any person to support a sports league. You don't have to give your time or money if it makes you unhappy.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
This offseason is not a roller-coaster ride. Roller-coaster rides are a lot more substance filled.

This offseaon is like a bad candy apple around halloween. The promise was kinda good, but ultimately unfulfilled and it leaves us all covered in sticky persistent sadness.

Yeah, how does the saying go, 'it's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all'...problem here it feels like we only lost. I would much rather no attempts at trades happened. Now we have all kinds of players who feel like they don't mean a whole lot to our organization.

yeah, this off-season, despite the good moves to rebuild the bench, has kind of screwed us.

Eh... it was rough to get our hopes up, but the offseason did still go pretty well.  Getting something for the TE, getting Wilcox for the vet min.  Getting Jeff Green on a non-QO 1-year deal.  And most importantly, getting Bass for Baby.

And we still have the mini-MLE.
2016 CelticsBlog Draft: Chicago Bulls

Starters: Rubio, Danny Green, Durant, Markieff Morris, Capela
Bench: Sessions, Shumpert, G. Green, T. Booker, Frye

a year or two ago, this off-season would have been great.  but just re-tooling the bench isn't enough at this point.  we no longer have the best starting 5 in the league.

And unless there's another trade JaJuan gets to play under KG, Doc and get lobs from Rondo. A rookie, yes, but between him and Bass those are some strong inside finishers we haven't had.

yeah, im confident JJJ will be a nice piece for the future.  a solid role player, maybe even a starter quality guy eventually.

it's gonna take more than that to put us back in the top tier, though.

You are correct.  But, if the moves end here it won't be enough.  But I think DA is still in business.  I do not believe that the speculated moves will impact RR and JO.

Yeah that's like being more pumped about the breadsticks than the actual entree. Watching JJJ will be a nice lil diversion, but there is a reason he wasn't a lotto pick, and you're looking at a best case scenario of him being a solid rotation player/borderline starter, unless the rest of the league really, really slept on him.
