I have read no stories suggesting this. ESPN's so called 5 experts (most if not all seemingly LA based) suggest that the Clippers are the only viable trading partner at this point, with the best young package (spear-headed by Eric Gordon, whom the Clips have shown no inclination to give up). That is a better deal than a Rondo led package?

Is Danny too focused on the David West deal at this point to give up on going after Chris Paul?

If Ainge miraculously pulled off the Paul trade, would there be chips left to obtain David West?

At this point I would much rather have Rondo, West, Bradley, JJ, E'Twaun, and draft picks than Chris Paul at this point.

We don't have Baby or Green anymore (now he's signed) or enough of a package anymore supposedly.

It's probably not even worth pursuing anymore either you saw how bad he wanted to go to LA, and all the drama that followed it, it'll just end up being a distraction.

Rondo + West signed to decent contracts vs. Chris Paul becoming an UFA next Summer gives me a bit of pause, even if I believe that the chances of Paul bolting next Summer are very small.

Well we should re-think now that David West deal looks dead.

  • Rondo = Good
is he renewing efforts?  you can bet on it.  will he be successful?  i wouldn't bet on it.  without green as a trade chip anymore our offer has gotten worse while other teams may be willing to make even better ones than before with the lakers out of the running.
