ya, this really doesn't bother me that much.

we're already be logjammed at the PF spot with Brandon Bass/David west/Green/Wilcox/Garnett after the trade...so JJJ kind of seems expendable

Moore I have no problem with letting go, but I feel like Johnson has some promise. However, I do understand that neither one should be something that holds up a deal. I'm not sure if I wouldn't rather include Bradley.

Doc doesn't play rookies or give them much chance.  We need to win this year so in that sense JJJ is not going to be useful for us.

Man now it looks like we may be giving up JJJ and Moore????

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/217333/West_To_Boston_Deal_Remains_On_Hold

This is a very disconcerting development, especially in light of the inequity in the CP3 trade that looks like is gonna happen.

What's going on???

JO, JJJ and EM for West will be a gift.  If the C's get him for JO and one of the two rookies, even better.

Thumbs up to this.

I hope this isn't true but not for the reason you would think.

"@LarryCoon: Yes. 30 days after contract is signed. RT @Pflanns: How about rookies? Same as old CBA?"

Didn't jjj and moore sign a deal friday? this would result in west missing the first few weeks of the year.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

If that is what it takes to get David West then get it done! JO, Moore, and Johnson for West would be a steal for this team. We focusing on winning now and Doc won't play either Johnson or Moore if they want to win this year. Still I like Johnson and he would be a nice back-up for a good team in a few years.

Just for the record, this says they were "mentioned in discussions."

I'm willing to bet that nearly every trade-eligisble player in the NBA has been "mentioned in discussions" over the last few days.

Moore has signed, I believe, but I don't think Johnson has.  No idea if Moore's contract has been processed yet.

I don't think it makes much sense if NO just needs contract filler. I know that most don't care too much about JJJ, but it would be nice to have a young, athletic big on the team working hard behind the scenes and maybe have something when everybody else retires. He may not be the next Garnett, but I wouldn't mind having learn from KG and see where it goes from there.

id rather not give up JJJ, but I just see him riding the bench...as David West/Brandon Bass are already proven NBA players

Plus, if they're getting Patrick Patterson from Houston, they don't need JJJ, right?

Roy, I really hope that you are right. One of the fun things about following a  team is to see the kids develop. I think JJJ has big potential and talents and an impeccable resume. I'd like to see him grow up on the Cs.

I think what bothers me the most is the Fakers/CP3 thing and the inequity of it, and somehow, even though this isn't directly related, the NOH have no credibility with me and the whole process and the participants act so disingenuosly and inconsistently that I am hypersensitive to it and don't like that someone that I was looking forward to seeing develop could be going to a team that helped make the Fakers possibly a force for another decade.

makes me sick.

Sorry for the rant.

where'd the Patterson report come from Roy?

On principle, I understand why JO, JJJ and Moore for West would be a decent trade for the C's.  However, since NO is just facilitating a deal for the C's, I think the cost should not include JJJ.  Maybe JO, Moore and the lesser of the Clip's/C's pick the year we get that pick from the Clips.

One of the names mentioned today as one of the new "young players" that Houston added to the package.  I can't remember who mentioned it...  Sean Deveney, maybe?

I think that Moore would be included before Johnson would be since Moore was a 2nd round pick. I understand that West is a better player than both Moore and Johnson but Johnson has some promise. I hope he's not in the deal and Moore goes.

With that said Doc has a tendency to not play rookies too much and Ainge has a tendency to trade whoever he picks. I'm honestly shocked that Avery is still in a Celtics uniform. Ainge would only include Johnson and Moore if NO knew that O'Neal would never play for them and just end up retiring, so some others must be in the deal.
