I don't even know what Delonte's saying.  If he's asking for $1 more than the Celtics offer, there are cap reasons why that wouldn't be allowed.

I believe that Delonte (if that is his twitter?)wanted to remain a Celtic, and had offered to take a 1$ signing bonus as a sacrifice.

maybe if he realized the blessing it is to recieve a LARGE and lets face it, any vet min. contract or better is a relitively LARGE amount of money in anyones standards (besides people that still live with mom and dad).

so yeah, i guess if they shut you down because you thought it would be cute to ask for a dollar more that is a little ungrateful.

 i hope you get injured and lose your NBA paycheck Delonte West.

NBA players generally don't tend to get signing bonuses, though.

I can't tell what he's getting at.  However, if the team offered him a contract based upon non-Bird rights (for instance), and he said "deal, if you'll give me a $1 bonus", then that would cause all kinds of problems with cap rules.

Delonte is screwed up in the head...  I like him and all, but he's flaky and an injury waiting to happen.  If he tweeted this, my suggestion would be for him to grow up.

If Pierce, Allen, and Rondo are you starting 3,2,1 - Green and West are very nice bench players. But West's durability was a liability last year, and it makes sense to get someone that's going to be healthy.
