this is just crazy...danny may have made the celtics one of the deepest teams in the league.

If you sign David West, you can limit KG's minutes because this guy is an allstar himself

our bench is Dooling, Jeff Green, David west, Brandon bass...these guys have been starters for teams.

go and get Kwame brown or someone, and maybe an amnesty cut like Rip hamilton and I think Ainge may have had one of his best offseasons yet

david west will most likely start.  i'd be surprised if he doesn't.

still, a bench of dooling, daniels, green, bass, wilcox with bradley / moore / brown / jjj as youthful 3rd stringers is very solid indeed.  plenty of athleticism, which is refreshing.

You think theyd put KG on the bench?? I think hell get his minutes cut alot this year, but still be the starter

Doc said today that JaJuan Johnson reminds him of Horace Grant. If Doc is willing to say something like that... this kid has to be pretty good.

Jumping the gun here... but I haven't heard a single report regarding Dalembert yet.  This is probably worth of it's own thread, but which other contender has anything to offer him?

Miami already is using its MLE or Mini MMLE on Battier
NYK might be getting Chandler
LAL and chicago already have centers
OKC has 2 serviceable centers
Dallas could use him but wants to keep long term money open for D-Will

Can we use the full mini MLE to sign Delonte West and trade him with some combination of Bradley, Johnson, Moore, Stiemsma and Wilcox for David West or Dalembert?

Pretty crazy what Danny was able to do with trade exceptions and minimum deals. Without even having touched the mmle. Nuts.

I'd like to get a center and a SG, maybe. Rip? Pietrus? Aaron Gray? Kwame? Someone. Couldn't really ask for a better offseason given the circumstances.

Are people forgetting this guy is coming off recent major knee surgery? He might have to be limited more than KG this upcoming season

Mickael Pietrus was traded to Toronto for a 2012 second pick.

From my understanding, West has recovered nicely. But...yes, don't count on all-star David West, at least not until the end of the season. He will be a solid contributor, but will need time to get his game back. KG will start, and will get 25-30 mpg, at least for much of the season. My guess is, West will start at 20 mpg, and end up at 25-30. Same with Green. The Big Three, by the end of the year, will probably be playing 30 mpg.

I think we need a true 5, a seven footer, especially if JO is gone.  We could be extremely talented at the 4, but nothing like a big body to take up space and push guys around....the last time we played for a ring, we lost in crunch time mainly because we couldn't keep the Lakers from grabbing boatloads of offensive rebounds....
