He knows the plays etc.
I would rather sign Gilbert Brown however. He was a 42% 3pt Shooter last year, and is a great defender.

people forget that before his freak injury, Quis was having a great season with us. he was scoring off the bench, and was one of our best perimiter defenders.

you cant go wrong for the vet minimum....Now, I would like to see the Celtics add another shooter behind Ray(delonte west maybe? or another free agent)

Quis is okay, he seems to have good relationship with the veterans. But i can see this guy playing himself in and out of docs doghouse this season. if he stays healthy

I don't think people are forgetting that, they're just remembering Jermaine O'Neal's injury problems and don't want to deal with that again.

Marquis Daniels has had health issues even before last season, so even if you could be 100% sure that his spinal problems are 100% behind him, he's still as likely to miss games as JO or Delonte West.

apparently before his injury, 'Quis would periodically lose feeling in his extremities but now that's fixed.  If he can survive 6 or 7 years in the NBA with numb fingers and toes, imagine how GOOD he'll be now that he has feeling?!  'Quis could be 6th man of the year this year.   :P  Another savvy move by DA.

Before last season, Daniels averaged 57 games per season.  Most of those missed games were due to injuries that don't seem related to his spinal problems.  I like bringing him back, but I think some people don't properly estimate how many games he is likely to miss, whether they are overly optimistic or pessimistic.
