Jackie macmullan reports that big baby told her about the trade "I'm not happy. I'm ecstatic,"

If he thought playing for doc was tough...wait till Stan Ron Jeremy van gunny is ripping into him,

I do agree with Davis though. It was time for a change.

I would be too if I was making that money. He never thought he'd get it and he did and a whole new group of fans to charm until the charm runs out in a couple years

I cant believe the Magic are going to give him over 6 mil annually for the next four years.

Good for G.Davis. Glad he found somewhere he's happy to a part of.

I just hope things don't go too badly for him after Dwight Howard leaves.

Yeah exactly, he's been of the mindset that he should have gotten this sort of payday since he was a RFA.

He also thinks that playing behind KG has held back his potential at the 4 spot.

Oh it will, the Magic are going to be a mess *shudder*.

But hey Hedo and he can always split a pizza before games, that'll be awesome right? (who am I kidding, he won't split it...)

Win win for both sides. Happy Davis gets what he wanted, happy with the Celtics gaining a comparable player, financial flexibility and the fact that I don't have to watch his man boobs on a weekly basis.

I can't believe how many teams are still making stupid financial decisions.

Davis is a nice player, but on a team that might need to rebuild next year, why would you waste nearly 7 million a year on a guy who is a borderline starting player?

It's moves like this that really make me side with the players.  The owners just can't keep themselves from being stupid.

Glad for BBD.  Best wishes in his new endeavors.  Congrats on getting a contract worth twice as much as he should have received.  Better yet, he's getting overpaid by one of our rivals
