am the only one who actually thinks Okafor is a stud... a rich  man's Perkins?...

Is he going to LA in the trade or are they just adding a few no-name scrubs and pushing this thing through?

okafor's solid, but he's no bynum and he's no gasol.  perkins is a good comparison.  okafor is perkins with a somewhat more refined offensive game.

So wait... "fixing" this deal is about giving more talent to the Lakers than before?  Lol whatever... Chris Paul is underrated on this forum... this is a travesty...

honestly, yeah, it does seem like from what we've heard that "fixing" the deal is giving the lakers more talent than before UNLESS they are forced to give up bynum instead of odom.  then you can definitely say the lakers were forced to give up more than they were before.  but if the lakers get okafor and paul while keeping bynum, we can most assuredly say that they won this trade and the league actually helped them out.

Yea, pairing Pau + Nene is maybe trying to copy the success of Memphis last year with twin towers??? I don't get that. Morey's drafted so well in average draft position that they are never bad enough to get superstars.

yeah, morey's drafting is almost too good for the rockets.  his strategy has been to draft as well as he can given his position and then flip those guys for better players.

he's been trying to work up to something along the lines of what danny did in trading for KG.  problem is morey hasn't hit gold yet with any of his prospects, and he hasn't had a top 10 pick to work with at all.

morey's drafting ability would be great for a team that was already completely awful, had a few high lottery picks in a row, and then continued to build on that by drafting in the middle of the first round for a couple of years -- like what the thunder did.  but taking a borderline playoff team and then drafting as well as you can in the middle of the 1st round just keeps you where you are.

Rockets will have changes to their part of proposed 3-way deal, league sources tell Y! Sports. They'd be sending more players to Hornets.

@WojYahooNBA

More players just to acquire Gasol? :-X

I imagine the Lakers are extremely reluctant to part with any future first round picks.

Doing everything they can to keep as many as possible to send to Orlando (along with A.Bynum) for D.Howard.

Jordan Hill was already reported.  I wonder if there are more.  (Because, as we all know, the Rockets were the team that wasn't giving up enough before.)

Yeah.

NOH should be demanding Bynum or 2 or 3 picks total.

Morey owes Kupchak a few favours, I guess.

Gutting there entire team to to acquire Gasol who doesn't even want to be there? And just to get early exits in the playoffs by LA sent home packing for years to come?

This makes sense how?

How is this trade getting any worse for the rockets and they still havent pulled out?

Its almost as if theyre going out of their way to assist the lakers make the trade happen. I dont get it.

Yeah I thought most of the extra clue was supposedly coming from the Lakers.
