They don't really need a center in the East as Dwight is the only one worth anything and his team is poor outside of him.  Out west the Lakers are the only team where it would be a problem and that is only if Bynum is actually healthy.

They certainly could use some more depth down low, but the reality is if James and Wade and Bosh (to a lesser extent) are on, they will win the title with what they have.

I don't know why either of those guys would pick Miami over LA and I don't think the guy left over would automatically pick Miami over teams that could offer more money or more playing time.  I don't think either is on their last legs and willing to just be a ring-chaser.

Minus Dampier and Big Z ... with Pittman or E.Curry getting a chance.

Looks like a downgrade to me.

Well, so long as they don't start using Bosh there like they should have done all along.

I thought I saw an article quoting Bosh as saying he was going to play more C on ESPN.

If CP3 trade stays voided I could see Baron to the Knicks and Billups to the Lakers.

im fine with that.  traditional centers should eat bosh for lunch.

Those three together with a couple of wheelchair basketball players would be a contender, but it continues to amaze me that Riley remains blind to the basic flaws in the roster he's assembled.  Signing Battier instead of at least TRYING to nab a quality big is bizarre.

Hopefully so, it'll be great for Bosh.

I dunno about Bosh so much specifically, but moreso it will be great for the rest of the team.  Open up the lane and spread the floor for Wade and Bron to drive.  Which will open up a lot of looks for their shooters.  And also it will open up more playing time for their talented wingmen who are buried on the bench.

That's always been the plan for Riley.  Unfortunately, Bosh is too slim to bang with even mediocre centers, which is the same reason KG has always resisted playing at the 5.

I think with them getting SB and having Haslem back for the full season they are going to be a lot tougher.

I think whatever team takes the East will take the whole thing and I think the Heat will be that team.

I don't think it has been. Playing Bosh at center isn't the type of basketball Pat Riley likes. He has been pretty strong in holding to his basketball philosophies of physical teams who play tough defense and rebound hard.

I don't think Bosh at center has ever been Riley's first choice. He just hasn't had an opportunity to get his team a quality center yet.

I actually think Bosh @ C should have been Riley's first choice from the beginning and he should be building a team around Bosh with that in mind instead of going out and looking for a center to put alongside him. But that's me.
