Paul Coro is reporting it's a one-year deal for $6.5 million.

Should have gone to a contender...his 39 year old legs aren't going to carry him for much longer...try to get a ring instead of earning a couple more millions.

I hear that PHO is also trading Mickael Pietrus to Toronto, who can either slot him into a trade exception, or their cap space.

So shedding Pietrus' salary might have enabled the Suns to up their offer to Hill, which is certainly more money than the Knicks could offer.

Honestly, if I were Grant Hill, or any other NBA player advanced in age with a bad injury history, I wouldnt leave Phoenix either.

It is absolutely absurd what that training staff does...

I would trade Rondo for that training staff because that would mean the big 3 would look like 25 year olds again... ;)

Yep.

This is why I think Oden needs to go play in Phoenix.

I don't like that trade for either team.

The Raptors backcourt minutes should go to Jose Calderon (starting PG), DeMar DeRozan (starting SG) and Leandro Barbosa (sixth man) exclusively.

So no backcourt minutes available for Pietrus. He can play the three but the relative value of his defense and rebounding is quite a bit smaller there than in the backcourt. Not a high level role player there. A solid one but unexceptional. The Raptors are just as well off developing James Johnson and Julian Wright with those SF minutes.

It's disappointing that Pietrus hasn't been able to acclimate to the Suns. Airhead. I guess I can understand them looking to move him on but it's disappointing they couldn't find a way to make it work. A two guard with his size, defense and shooting would be very valuable for Phoenix.

You'd like to at least see Phoenix get a quality role player back for Pietrus. Someone who can help Steve Nash out in his final years.

The Suns are quite short-handed on the wing now with Vince Carter gone and Pietrus soon to depart. I am guessing Shannon Brown will get those two guard minutes. Likely as a starter ... which is disgusting (S.Brown is simply not good enough for that role).

What a waste of a career in Phoenix, they aren't even trying to win... let Nash and Hill go somewhere where they can win.
