Anyone thinking Ainge may have screwed Rondo's motivation now? It seemed that after all the reports of the Celts pursuing CP3 at ALL COSTS, now it seems that this trade needed to happen. What's our next move fellow CBers?

im on the "trade rondo for steve nash and let's have fun for a season and then start from scratch" wagon.

I'd rather have Rondo over Steve Nash ANYDAY. No way Nash is better than Rondo at this point in his career. The Suns would have to throw in some of their best in order for me to even consider something like that. Rather than us going all in for CP3, the Suns would have to go all in for Rondo. For now, not feeling it.

(1) That Steve Nash + Marcin Gortat idea
(2) Try to sign and trade Jeff Green + Clippers pick (plus salary filler) for Al Jefferson
(3) Try to sign and trade Jeff Green to Sacramento for Sam Dalembert

That's all I got right now.

there is no next move. keep rondo and watch him pout and play in a funk like he did when they traded perk...watch JO and Daniels get hurt by Feb. and watch this team ride off into the sunset. this team is going nowhere this season. they will finish behind the knicks and philly..be a 6 or 7 seed and lose in round one.

Marquis Daniels? Kenyon Dooling? those are the big pick ups that will solidify the bench in a tough short season? get real

I want to start by saying I wanted to keep RR and JG...

however, I expected us to get SOMEONE else (at center)! We lost 4-1 to a (sham) team that is only going to be better who lost in the finals!!! Who in the hell are we going to get now? If we could barely win one game against them, with the same (a year older) team, what do you think we are going to do this season?? People say if RR was healthy we had a chance... uh, when? We barely got one W and that was out of the 3 games BEFORE RR was injured!!!!!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

next moves will be to over pay glen davis, continue to sign guys that have little or no game left and watch this team die before our eyes. really...who is danny going to get that makes this team a contender? daniels? avery bradley? dooling? i mean really..the Cs are not even mentioned with FA that are even marginal...they are linked to bums.

Starting 5:

Rondo-going to be sulking for weeks, will be given the jumper until he shows he can make it
Big three- decent...but on the back 9
JO-will be hurt at some point, who will back him up?

Bench-
Bradley-showed zero last season
Moore and Johnson-rookies who will have a hard time getting run under Doc
Daniels-has not made it through a full season in boston..always hurt...really needs to retire

Maybes:
Davis-thinks he is the man, takes too many jumpers and will be overpaid if resigned.
Jeff Green-supreme disappointment last year but might help off the bench

From here I have no idea who they even go after. They need 2 more centers b/c JO is made of glass, another LEGIT wing to back up PP and another SG...i like delonte but Danny low balled him right out of the gate

Wow ... those have to take the cake for some of the worst trade ideas I've seen this entire week. Congratulations. Bargnani? You kidding me? Jeez

If you don't think he's very good then you clearly don't watch the NBA outside of Boston

Who, Bargnani? He's downright horrible. A player without an NBA position, who somehow always shows promise but is bound to never make it over the hump.

all i can say is i hope to god danny does SOMETHING.  after the lockout it'll be really crushingly disappointing if this season is nothing more than a glorified farewell tour for the big 3.
