Cavs expected to use new amnesty rule on PG Baron Davis once the new CBA is official, source tells @YahooSports. Until then, BD in Cavs camp

Welcome back to LA Mr. Davis.
I'd be shocked if he doesn't get bid on by teams under the salary cap.

Yes, I'm sure he will be, but if he has any say in it (I'm not aware if he does?), then he will be a Laker.

Who you thinking about Faf? It has to be a winning situation or he will pout, and I don't see any with cap space. I hope you are right. Personally I like Baron and would hate to see him go to LA. I think he could go to the Knicks too for the MLE.

He doesn't. Like, Billups he can only resort to intimations through his agent.

Interesting...it would be very intriguing to see him with the Lakers though.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
He's going to go knocking on the Lakers door, I'm not sure they let him in.

He may prefer the Lakers, but if I were him, I'd be hoping for a shot with the Knicks.  That team needs a PG now, and he'd have some great targets to get the ball to.

Agree.  That would be a very fun team to watch.  I wonder if the Knicks Amnesty Billups, if they will try to leave just enough money under the cap when signing Chandler to put in a bid on Davis, even if its for just above the minimum.

If both Baron and Billups get amnestied, I hope Ainge takes a run at them.  Either could play the two in addition to being the backup PG.  I love Delonte but not that much.

I was thinking it sure would be swell if our elder BFF Sheed would make a call to Chauncey on our behalf...

...especially if we go young in the near future with the 2nd unit and need someone who can come in and settle things down at the point and spread the floor to give them room, while also getting time at the 2 shooting the lights out.

He'd be worth the "Full Mini" (which sounds like a a really, really bad movie, doesn't it?).

I hate BD with a max deal.  I love him with a vetmin salary. Although the new waiver system makes it unlikely, he'd make a heck of a combo guard off the bench playing with Boston and his childhood chum Paul Pierce.

One upside to Davis in green -  Glen Davis won't look as fat standing next to BD in the huddle.
