What is Dallas going to do? No Butler, no Chandler...and possibly no Barea either.

Maybe via S+T for Kaman. Makes sense for the Mavs to push for that since they are losing TC.

No way, the Clippers have cap space and Kaman is a trade asset.

If they work out S+T then maybe Chandler, Barea, and Butler
for
Kaman, Billups, and Turiaf.

Frees up money for Deandre... Again too logical not to happen.

They are looking to save cap space to make a run at Deron Williams next year.

Big blow for Chicago -- they really wanted Butler

It's never a great choice to sign with the Clippers, but from a basketball standpoint, this made the most sense.  They have a nice core, and needed a SF.  He should fit in well.

One source w/knowledge of Mavs' thinking adamant Dallas does not want to take back Billups' expiring deal in Tyson Chandler sign-and-trade

Sheesh ... that is a lot of shot-takers.

Mo Williams - 12.5 to 15 FGAs a game last five years
Caron Butler - 13 to 16 FGAs last five years
Chris Kaman - 12 FGAs last year, 16 FGAs year before

That is before we even get to their two main scorers in Blake Griffin (17 FGAs) and Eric Gordon (17FGAs). I hope those guys accept their roles and don't start eating into Blake Griffin's + Eric Gordon's shot attempts.

He's better than Gomes.  An upgrade for the Clips.  Not a terrible price.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

@ESPNSteinLine

I guess I could be wrong but all those guys are on one year deals so they come off the books after this season anyway.
