While the Celtics are still in talks with unrestricted free agent Glen Davis, they are also trying to swing a deal for New Orleans point guard Chris Paul, and Davis is one of the pieces being dangled, according to a league source.

So if BBD is involved and Jeff Green is still involved does that mean more pieces from New Orleans than just CP3 could be coming back to Boston? or are they trying to package Green and BBD somewhere for young assets and picks that they could then ship to New Orleans along with Rondo? or maybe rondo is going to the 3rd team(most likely)

All it means is that they have discussed scenarios that involve Davis.  Don't overthink it.

I think this ultimately gets done with Indiana in a 3 team deal. BBD could be going to Indiana as a possible replacement for both McRoberts and Hansbrough. It's all speculation of course, but I think Bird understands he will have to up his offer if he wants a 25 year old 2 time all star pg. Indiana is a good fit for Rondo's talents if they keep Granger, Hibbert, and another goof player via FA.

BBD could be a Carl Landry replacement in NOH also.

YES! For the love of all that is CP3, please keep Green and Bradley and ship BBD as fast to NO as possible. I'll be so happy if he is included in this package.

Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey

I'm sure Baby would love the chance to fill the shot-intensive roles of West and Landry in his hometown.

I see him having very little trade value, however.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I would rather keep Big Baby than Green. Baby is a better defender, a better rebounder, can honestly play two positions of need, center and PF pretty well, and will come cheaper than Green.

Green has pretty much proven in his career that he is not a PF and not a great rebounder. If we are going after Marquis Daniels as our wing bench player then Green is more expendable. BBD is a big and right now KG and injury prone O'Neal are our only bigs. We need to keep proven bigs.

If we have Rondo, Green is to be kept.

If we get CP3, I think BBD can fit in fine.

Wouldn't surprise me if it does end up being BBD included in a trade for CP3.  Can't imagine NO is interested in Green.  They already have Ariza, who has 3 years and $6+ mil remaining.  This is probably the type of contract Green is going to get.  Why would NO want 2 players who are almost mirror images, neither is that good.  Doesn't make sense.

He might be cheaper and able to defend bigs, but he's not a significantly better rebounder and is a worse scorer.

except for low post girth/defense i'll take green over every aspect of davis' game
green has far better shooting and low post game, better in open court, jumper etc etc
for a guy who should be down on the blocks like a charles oakley type (big who can't jump)  davis' rebounding is bad

Firs off no one is dangling BBD.  Second off they make it sound that by enticing the Hornets with him that they change their thinking to "Oh man we better make the trade we can get BBD."

Per 36 minutes Green averages 5 rebounds, Baby averages 7 rebounds.

Green's rebound percentage is 9%, Baby's rebound percentage is 12%.

People may not like stats but these pretty much prove beyond a doubt that Baby is a better rebounder than Green.

Also, Baby is a much better low post player than Green.

For what this team needs, Baby is much better suited for this team than Green. Its a lot more likely that O'Neal will go down with injury and Baby will need to step up as a starter than Pierce will go down and Green will be needed to step up as a starter.
