From Wojnarowski's daily rumors updates :

Quote
The Boston Celtics have asked free-agent forward Glen Davis to remain patient as they explore trade possibilities that could alter their roster. The Detroit Pistons, New Orleans Hornets and Orlando Magic also interested, but a deal doesn’t appear imminent.

I would love to s+t BBD for Tayshon Prince if at all possible, he is leaving Detroit anyways and this way Boston could get him for more than the mini MLE which he will probably make more. I could live with a 2 or 3year/ 5 mil a year deal for Prince

PG: Paul   / West
SG: Ray    /Marquis
SF: PP     / Prince
PF: KG     / Powe(vet min)
 C: JO     / Gray ( mini MLE)

Not thrilled with the center options, but that is a pretty reliable and verteran filled bench in my opinion, maybe could use another scorer that can come into the game and light it up at the SG position.

your 2 deep is full of guys that have long histories of serious injuries: Daniels should not be looked at as a primary back up to anyone...powe is coming off 2 or 3 ACL tears and we all know about JO...I just don't think that team you listed would be more than a 5 or 6 seed and a first round exit in the playoffs

Chris paul, ray allan, paul pierce, and Kevin garnett on the same team is a 6th seed?...in the east?  That is VERY hard to imagine.

If head into the season with Leon Powe and Aaron Gray backing up our big positions, we're in a very, very serious trouble.

I hope we bring him back because were NOT going to find anyone better...but it needs to be at a big, one-year deal.  Or a small salaried 2-year deal

I would love a S&T and get Mayo, doubtful but that would be great.

Most lower level FAs have to wait, strange compressed off season we're going to have now has it all scrambled.

Yeah, I think this year is going to be different.  The guys who would normally wait for the market to shake out will be taking offers more quickly (even if they are for less than they would like), with fear that everything will dry up, and just to get into camp.

I doubt they are asking Davis to wait long though.  I expect this Paul situation to be done, one way or another, by the opening of business at 2pm tomorrow.  And at that point, I think the C's and Davis will decide what to do (if he isn't part of the deal).
