Know how good he is, but am very reluctant to give up one of our bigs plus probably Odom for him. Don't feel good about this. I would even concede him to the CELTICS if we were to get Dwight Howard instead.

honestly, right now i think that's what will happen.  celtics get paul (at least for a year) and lakers get dwight.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

I actually doubt it. I think Orlando will hold onto Dwight until the trade deadline next year. Even starting to think that they will roll their dice and not trade him - Try to get him to stay by winning a championship.

Or we can take both from you one at a time and watch as the Dynasty created by Shaq in the 90's morphs into a shell of its former self. Exclimated by a me first attitude and selfishness.

And simply dimishes into Kobe jacking up shot after shot yet failing to concede any power or leadership to his reluctant weak minded teammates.

Personally this would be my preference.

Not sure about preference. Me calling that a pipe dream is generous. Say what you want, but the Lakers will always attract big stars to them like bee's to honey as long as they exist.

If they were to somehow miss out on free agents this year, they would be the favorites to get the best player(s) from the next batch of superstar free agents.

I think the same thing.

I highly doubt they will deal Dwight directly to the Lakers either.

How can you win your fans back after twice serving as a breeding ground for the next great Lakers center?

If NOH is smart, they won't accept anything less than Bynum/Odom or Gasol/Odom for CP3.

Bynum/Odom will give NOH a legit center and a starting PF on most teams. The concern with Bynum, though, has to be his health.

Gasol? While a top PF in the league, he is old, too - with his 32nd b-day coming in July. He will clearly be on the decline in the next few years.

With my first para, this, to me, takes LA out of the running to get Dwight - unless he chooses to sign with LA after the season is over.

If LA lets go of Gasol, which I believe they'd have to in ANY deal with Dwight or CP3, then there goes (IMO) the focal point of the offense. As great as Kobe is, he has run the offense through Gasol for the time he's been in LA.

Gasol ALWAYS gets touches, and his passing ability and smarts allows Kobe multiple options.

CP3 - don't get caught up in LA LA Land, ;D...come on to Boston.
