The #Celtics are close to reaching an agreement to bring Marquis Daniels back this season, according to two sources.

Always good to hear, hope to see him for another go-around. I haven't checked up in a while, anyone know if he's been playing basketball in any charity games or how he is doing health-wise?

Either way, excited to have a fan favorite backup wing as insurance.

I have mixed feelings on this one. He is a productive bench player when he is healthy, but he is also an injury magnet.

Safe depth signing. I love him, personally.

He's an adequate ballhandler, crafty scorer, and can play a little bit of everywhere (1, 2, 3). Good move to retain roster flexibility.

He better not be the only wing we sign because he gets hurt for a good chunk of every season. I am hoping they can bring in a Dahantay Jones/ TA type of defender to use on Lebron and Wade

We have to fill 9 spots, for the vet min I have no problem bringing back Marquis to fill one.

Love him as a 4th or 5th wing.  He also provides PG depth.  Nice pickup if its for the vet minimum.

Yeah I don't think Quis is here to be the 1st option off the bench, I'd be shocked if Danny doesn't bring in insurance.

After signing him, we'll still have 8 1/2 spots to fill.

That's good. To fill out the roster the Celtics must rely on past players like him. I'd love it if they resign West too and maybe if Pacers use the amnesty clause on Posey he will come back here for cheap. Key word though is cheap, they need to lure names here and use a championship title as a way to do that.

Whats up with snobbish comments? Not every FA signee will be a home run. Bringing Marquis Daniels back is smart move. And for his sake, I hope the injuries are behind him.
