Im ok with passing on Chris Paul but why pull Jefferson into the mix...Especially when we probably dont have the package to get him and he may not help us more than hurt us anyway.

Jefferson is a strictly offensive PF. In the center position he would get eaten alive on the defensive end... He is also a half court player not playing very well on the break. He is somewhat athletic but definitely thrives in the half court offense where he can post, gather his thoughts, and make his unorthodox moves to the basket.

Old or not, our team performs best when we are playing great d and turning that into transition buckets. Jefferson doesnt fit that mold at all. The only thing Jefferson has proven to me is that he can put up very good numbers with big minutes on terrible teams... I dont see him helping us win anything next year or in the future.

It's funny, Rondo is too valuable to trade for CP3, yet Jeff Green is "good" enough value to get Al Jefferson...haha.

In today's game it is all about who you know and who wants to play with who. If we get Chris Paul, we will draw in other free agents that may have originally gone elsewhere for more money. The Buzz will be in B-Town and if we win it all...it may stay and/or increase in 2012! It's a crazy move but in todays NBA its what you have to do.

If anyone convinces you that JO should be our man at center than they would have to be an insanely talented arguer. Jermaine O'neal should by no means be the starting center on an already aged starting 5. Danny needs to go find a younger dude.

I mean I like Jermaine as a backup, but we seriously need someone younger to be our starting center.

Rondo's contract is not worth enough for CP3. Its not a straight up trade.

Jeff Green plus JO and maybe a pick. They're pretty clogged up in the PF. Kanter gets a mentor.

I think the problem is, a lot of people would argue that it IS broke.

Yes, "It" is very broken, the "it" being our offense.

Bingo.

Why fix it when it ain't broke? Especially when you have a gaping hole in the middle. We have Jeff Green, picks and JO to have a go at Al Jefferson. The Heat, on the other hand, may want a center but have zero trading chips.

Why (presumably) use Jeff Green to upgrade for Chris Paul when we could use him to get us a center. We owned the Heat when we had a 40 year old Shaq. Scratch that, we were the best team in the league when we had a 40 year old, out-of-shape Shaq playing 20 minutes a game.

I am all sold for getting Al Jefferson but not at all convinced renting Chris Paul is going to help us.

(Maybe the idea of building around Rondo, Al Jeff and Pierce is a bit daunting but we'd have Ray Allen (who has, again, expressed interest in retiring in green and I'd be that he plays for another few years) and possibly KG off the bench. Also, Rondo and Al Jefferson are much better players now.)

Bring 'em on. Shoot me down.
we get another scorer **** thats about all we get with that trade rondos a better defender passer and more athletic and with cp3's injuries this deal looks alot worse if he doesnt stay healthy. danny ainge will be cursed with karma of trading a very loyal player in rondo who would do anything for this team maybe play with 2 broken arms. im going to miss the human highlight reel :(

on another note we get cp3 best believe gasol bynum and odom are gone for dwight howard and i dont see how the magic turn that down so we pretty much lose cp3 @ the end season and have crazy cap room plus our current big 3 retires. shoot maybe ray allen joins the new big 3 in miami which would be great! thats sarcasm BTW
