According to most Celtic fans you can't build around him. He can't shoot or play in the half court. And the Big Three made his career.

  • Another undersized Celtic...

They don't want Rondo, if they did, CP3 would already be here. That's why the C's are looking for a third team to get involved...

And that third team must want a running PG to go with several young athletic players that really get up and down the court. I know that used to describe the Warriors and it might well describe the Clippers, too.

Rondo, Gordon, Blake. That would be scary team to slow down.

I believe the Pacers will want to get involved.  Larry seems like he wants to shake that team up.  Rondo would be the distributor that could make those players become more efficient.

They don't.

One of the reports stated the Hornets prefer the Warriors' package centered around Steph Curry over Boston's with Rondo.

Also the very first day the CP3 to BOS rumors surfaced it was said BOS was looking for a 3rd team (with the Pacers being mentioned) to broker a deal since NO was not sold on Rondo.

But anyways, if he isn't going to resign, you might as well get something for him.  If Rondo happsn to be the best offer we have a shot.

Completely agree.

just posted this in other thread:

"Celts want CP3. Hornets do not want RRondo. We need a third team.

Larry Legend can help us get CP3.

Indiana gets: Rondo

NOH gets:Hibbert, George, Collison and Glen Davis

Cs get: CP3

It works in Trade machine with JO substituted for a S&T Glen Davis, since salaries will be close and can't do S&Ts with Trade Machine.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7cvdpj5

Hornets get a lot of youth which they want at 4 different positions.

Maybe we have to give Ind our first round pick this year, not Clips pick."

Steph Curry is a good baller, but he ain't better than Rondo.

If other GMs are viewing Curry as better than Rondo, the league is messed up.

Again, the league is about scoring. With West and Paul gone who do the Hornets have that can score? No one. Exactly why Rondo is a bad fit there. Rondo needs to be put around scorers and frankly the Hornets have none. Curry however can score. It's simple logic based on the present personnel.

CP3 is nice and all but his knee is a big question mark..bigger than Rondo's jumper. Having said that, if CP3 is what it takes to get Dwight, then I'm all for it.

One of the reasons that’s giving the C’s some reason to pause in their pursuit of Paul is his health; specifically, his surgically repaired left knee.

While he appears to have bounced back from the 2010 injury nicely, there is some concern that the injury could prove problematic in the future.

Paul suffered a torn meniscus injury in late-January of 2010. Dr. James Andrews, one of the top orthopedic surgeons in the world, performed surgery on the knee on Feb. 4. Unable to sew the torn meniscus back together, Dr. Andrews had to take the torn portion out entirely.

The knee has two menisci that essentially serve as shock absorbers between the femur and tibia bones. Paul has one now, which means there’s likely some of bone-on-bone rubbing which has the potential to get worse and ultimately lead to additional surgical procedures.

They're aware of that doubt that's stopping them. We made our mind up it seems we don't want to build around Rondo and he probably doesn't want to be here now either.

That's great stuff right there... It definitely makes you think twice about it.

The league's about winning. How many points your pg can score when he's playing with 4 guys who can't put the ball in the basket shouldn't be that high a priority.
