Too much coffee and Gatorade. It's a hell of a mix. If you're ever tired in the morning, just try that mix, and tell me what you think. -Kevin Garnett

Awesome it would be nice if he retired a Celtic (and took a smaller role and less money) at a chance we can still contend

this post had me interested in doing a little research.

Kobe has played 208 playoffs games.
MJ has 179 under his belt
Lebron-92 playoff games.

do with this information what you will.

Really don't want to jinx anything, but it's a little bit crazy that Ray's been as durable as he has.  He pretty much hasn't missed a game in the last 3 years... (79, 80 and 80) ... too lazy to verify this, but I'm pretty sure the few games he missed were just for rest.

I say this, because when the Sonics originally traded Gary Payton for Ray Allen, the fans here in Seattle flipped out.  Most of them severely underrated his game.  But also... the way the local sports radio talked about Ray, we were all lead to believe his ankle was being held together by a screw and he was seconds away from blowing it out entirely and ending his career.

That was 9 years ago.   Also funny that the two main players traded for Ray (Jeff Green and Delonte) both played for Boston last year.

Ray is super Luxury for the Celtics.  A mature calming force than can reason with the "KIDs" they will be bringing in , in the near future. And also he can amazingly still play at a decent level.  Very rare , the best teams always have that "GO TOO" shooter , pinch hitter to bring off the bench to kill the other team ....I'm all about keeping Ray a Celtic.

Not to mention ...I can see Ray sitting beside Doc on the bench as a Celtic Assistant coach one day !!!!  ;D
