FA Power Forwards (BBD replacements) Revised

1. D. West
2. K. Humphries
3. J. McRoberts
4. K. Martin (china)
5. C. Landry
6. B. Wright
7. G. Davis
8. J. Smith
9. J. Dorsey
10. C. Wilcox
J. Jeffries
L. Powe
C. Smith
Y. Jianlian
S. Williams

Not to happy with the talk about resigning BBD as if it was our only option. Have to look at C. Landry, B. Wright and J. Smith. If you need someone who can also play center, then McRoberts, Wilcox, Hayes, Dorsey all deserve serious looks. Anyone else concerned about the lack of energy/enthusiasm C's seem to be exhibiting during this shortened FA period.

just a note of clarification, it's Kris Humphries -- first name starts with a K.

id place landry, martin, and mcroberts ahead of wilcox (in that order).

of the players you  listed, i'd most like to see the celtics get k-mart, but realistically i think we'll get somebody like wilcox, jeffries, powe, or jason smith.

His contract ends in March though. He'll be back in time to join a team for the playoffs.

I could live with Joey Dorsey for the vets minimum. Great rebounder/Hustle guy.

Wait...when is the eligibility deadline though?  You have to be on a roster by a certain point to play in the playoffs Im pretty sure

I think you can be signed at any point up until the beginning of the playoffs when a playoff roster is named.

March 1st (buyout deadline) is a deadline of a different sort. You need to be waived prior to then to sign with another team to be eligible for the playoffs. I think that is deadline you are thinking of. It's the one talked about every year.

Edit: Sorry, you have to play at least one regular season game with your team to be playoff eligible. So you can sign someone in April, play them once and they are good to go for the playoffs.

I think  McRoberts would be an ok pickup on the cheap.  I would like to see a guy who can play both F and C as it adds versatility.  I'd like to see some length on the fellow too.

Kurt Thomas would be nice.  Pryzilla I could live with too.  Heck Ronny Turiaf would be ok by me too and he hurt us last year.

Is that JSmoove at 8?  ???

Also isnt KMart stuck in China w/ JR Smith with those contracts? Since were looking at backup PF, id go with landry, but he might command a big contract somewhere. Interested to see where David West lands or stays.

Nothing on that FA center list excites me either. SMH Dear santa, can you pull off a miracle and somehow assemble a group of CP3, DH, and/or JSmoove to come to Boston please???

Santa always hooks it up  ;)
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

J Smooth is under contract according to ESPN.
Jason Smith has the size to be a solid scorer; but not sure about his defensive ability.

I'd take Dorsey, but I'd rather see JJJ get 15 minutes/game instead if he's at all capable.  If we somehow brought in Kmart in March I'd be beyond happy.  Aside from being on of my top 5 non-celtic players, he'd be a huge lift in our rebounding and toughness in the post.  Love to see him running breaks with Rondo too.
