We all know how sensitive Rajon can be.  Now that all of these rumors have been swirling, is it too late to pull back and ask him to be the leader of this team?  I think it was a big mistake to allow these rumors to get out.  If we can get CP3 - great!  But if we don't, does Danny still make a move to send Rondo packing?  Maybe to Indiana or OKC?

I wouldn't think so. He has a contract and time on his hands and I think he likes it here. You just flatter him a little and spoil him a little and whatnot and appeal to his business sense.  Leak out maybe some trades that were turned down.

Its a business, if a player can't get over the fact that he might be traded then he has the wrong mind set. Rumors and grumblings come up every year, this is no different than things we've heard in the past.

Rondo trade rumors have gone on like every offseason since 08.  If trade talk hurts his play, we've already seen that version of Rajon for years.

No way

There were trade rumors a few years ago before he signed his new contract if Im not mistaken.

Listen, I dont want to lose Rondo as he is our main man going forward, But.... If it helps bring in players in return then I would be listening to all offers, Doesnt mean Im going to trade him, Just that I would be listening to all offers for him at this time

No. This happens every year. And every good player hears rumors like these all the time.

the C's dont have to do anything, but i would be concerned about rondo's play as a result of this, especially at the beginning of the season.  he has demonstrated he is emotional fragile with things off the court (prior trade rumors, perk trade, obama joking about his shot).

Not at all.  We didn't deal Ray at the trade deadline despite shopping him and his game actually improved

He's been on the tradeing block since he first showed up to camp his rookie season and they found out he was a basket case.

He's got to be used to it by now.

There would not be any trade rumors if he'd just get his FT% up.  Then he wouldn't have to be afraid to go to the basket in tight games.  Then he would hands down be the best PG in the NBA.

For that to happen Rondo would have to admit some stuff to himself and I'm not sure his fragility can handle it.  He'll grow up someday  I just hope its not too late.

Plus in the NBA you get traded, that's just how it is for pretty much every player in the league. Its part of the profession and he's dealt with rumors before.

Not convinced Rondo is going anywhere.

This isn't Rondo's first rodeo with the trade rumors.  He should hold up fine.  Its a part of the profession and he's been in the league long enough that he should realize it.
