“Everyone is tradeable, you could probably get a lot for Rajon Rondo but he is the heart and soul of the team,” retired star Shaquille O’Neal told 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher and Rich. “I don’t think that would be a good idea. If I was the general manager, I wouldn’t do it.”

“Chris Paul is not better than Rajon Rondo… Rajon Rondo is the true definition of a point guard, period,” said O’Neal. “He gets everybody involved and he scores when he has to. Chris Paul scores a lot of points, but when was the last time they made it to the playoffs? Thank you very much.”

Also Paul didn't score many more points than Rondo last year (that was an aberration, though).  Does Shaq even watch basketball games he's not playing in?

It was said that KG said the same thing while in Minnesota so I would take that with a grain of salt. After he became a Celt he said that he never said anything of the sort. Plus, Brousard is a blowhard who is hardly ever correct in ANYTHING that his so called insiders tell him.

So it's a good thing he retired directly after his time here.  Also, he's gearing up to counter Barkley on his new TV contract.

I like Rondo, and I am extremely biased with the Cs, but I'm gonna have to disagree with Shaq. If I'm trying to win one more title with the big three, I gotta go with Paul here. Better all-around player.

CP3 is better than Rondo.

When our Big 3 were still clicking and 3-4 years younger, they could get it done on the offensive end.

Fast forward a few years later, they can't get it done.

Rondo's not a reliable scorer, at least not enough to make up for the regression of our Big 3.

Plus, Rondo seems to play as his emotions warrant.

If you want to rent CP3 this year go all in and try to win it all this year I say go for it.

But that deal will not help the C's long term.

I want Rondo to stay.
