I really think this is an area where the Celtics need to gamble on unproven talent instead of proven mediocrity.

Jeff Foster maybe? I really feel like KG will basically handle backup center when Jeff Green and Jajuan Johnson come in at PF.

Yes.  I think this will happen.  And for those of you who balk at this idea, it's also what essentially has happened over the past 3-4 years everytime BBD played with the starters.

. . . and our rebounding has been pretty awful.

I tend to agree, especially since we'll probably have even less money to throw at the proven mediocrity under the next CBA (which will likely have harsher spending restrictions).

Good point.  I liked what I saw from J.O. in the games he played.  His D was solid, he could spread the floor a little but still post up and get some easy buckets.  The problem was he was never healthy.  When he plays he's actually a great fit.

The initial word is that the full midlevel won't be available to luxury tax teams.  I'm not sure where the C's fit into that equation but I would guess that the C's are one of those teams and will only have about $3 million to spend on a free agent, not $6 million like the non tax teams.

I'm a Kyrylo Fesenko guy for the minimum - not as the primary backup, but as the #3 behind JO and someone else who can come in, play defense and clog up some space.
