Just saw Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Glen Davis in Person

Hi guys,

Even as a Lakers fan, I really appreciate superstars when I see them. I work right next to a gym where NBA players play pick-up ball. I didn't recognize all the players, but I did recognize the following: Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, John Wall, Danny Granger, David Lee, Javalle McGee, Ricky Rubio, Taj Gibson, JR Smith, Al Harrington, Glen Davis.

Don't expect great pictures, as they were not allowed, and I was actually told (surprisingly very nicely) by one of the trainers not to.

I can see why Glen Davis has been so effective for you guys over the years. He is a very big guy (wide and taller than you would think), and he definitely throws his weight around. KG and Javalle McGee were on the same team - Really crazy combination of height, very effective. I was actually very impressed with Rubio - Was balling even with all of these all stars. I think he'll be Rookie of the Year.

Yeah, he was taking a TON of outside shots. Can definitely understand not wanting to go all out and injure yourself in a pick-up game.

Another TP for you, but yeh thats just a normal 3...which is his regular range in the NBA...the NBA 3 is a bit further

Paul Pierce has always looked slim to me when I've seen him in person. He walked past me last year (in a much less all-star filled pick-up game) and I was quite surprised by this.

Just another interesting tidbit: There was a play where KG slapped the ball out of Pierce's hands and hit him. They were somewhat going at it verbally...Kind of in the same way they would go at it with anyone in that situation. Very physical game overall - No ticky tack fouls at all, some bodies on the floor, unbelievably loud yelling by all the players.

I actually walked by KG, Pierce and Davis outside as I left the gym, and they were still very talkative. You could easily hear them 500 feet away.
