Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald has reported of progress in the negotiations to get the NBA business going again. There is believed to be a 50 - 50 split among the owners and players.

Also, David Stern was sent home (back to a Manhatten hotel) with flu-like symptoms. We hope you feel better and take it as a positive omen that a settlement can be reached.

Also, there is a chance the 82 game season can be saved (possible is moving the games lost in the 1st two weeks of the season to the back end). I want to get back to discussing NBA basketball and not the NBA labor issues, lockout, deflation, and depression.......

Call me hopeful that we will see basketball soon  :)

And after reading about the negotiations breaking off with no signs of a. Deal, I must say that both sides have fudged themselves but good. I have to consider my future as a Celtic fan, in fact a sports fan in general. Do I need to watch Celtics basketball?

If these  750 imbeciles cannot share 2 billion dollars a year, I have no sympathy for them. Both the owners and the players have committed financial suicide and deserve to be ignored to the point they lose their business. I urge all fans to not buy tickets, cancel NBA suscription packages, write letters to David Stern telling him to resign.

There is no excuse and both sides are at fault.

There is one bit of good news, however. The referees cannot be blamed so far. In fact I kinda feel sorry that they will be unemployed (well, not Knick Bavetta).
