Forbes' signing in Toronto makes me think he gets some burn this season.

Watson seems an obvious choice. Which does Edgar need more: a veteran C, or a rookie wing?

Okafor, Rashard, Nazr and Haywood are his only bigs. He doesn't seem to be short on wings.

Maybe Forbes, too.

This was the cut I was hoping he'd make, but Forbes singe-handily dashed Canada's Olympic hopes and has a puncher's chance of starting at the 3 in Toronto.

I talked to him about what direction he was taking this year a couple of weeks ago, and he indicated "win now".  So, I'd go with the more proven guy.

Okafor, Rahsard, Nazr and Haywood are his only bigs. He doesn't seem that short on wings.

His other centers are Okafor, Haywood, and Wilcox (?).

I think he keeps Nazr. Barring an eleventh-hour, deus ex machina entrance by Edgar, that seems to be the call.

Everyone join me in the points league thread to help me make some other decisions. I'll hand out TPs to all.

Yes, I left out Wilcox.

Yeah, but how much is Mohammed going to help? At best he's fourth in the Thunder's big man rotation behind Perkins, Ibaka and Collison, and that's if the team chooses not to give any minutes to Aldrich or B.J. Mullens.

I'd say he'll be about where he was last year:  7/5.

How much run is Jimmy Butler going to get on the Bulls?

well traditionally (not that I've been around enough to know for sure) contenders cut 2nd round picks before cutting veterans I would think

In past years, I've threatened to cut rookies for those who didn't submit cuts before the deadline, so there's precedent.

it makes sense to me. If it was a top 15 pick or so I would be much more unsure, but the 30th pick on a contending team, it's a likely cut.

Where as if Perkins is healthy, or Aldrich steals his spot in the rotation, I predict something more in line with his playoff averages 10 mpg, 2.3 and 2.3. That's in reach for Butler, although who knows with the 30th pick? I still think he's worth a flier.

While I agree with Dubs that Butler has the upside, I'm going with precedent and majority opinion. If Edgar really wants Butler back, he can submit a waiver claim.

TPs all around. Thanks, guys.

I don't see Tom Thibodeau giving Butler any PT this season...not with a shortened season and the Bulls gunning for the best record.
