You know the owner of the Nuggz is freaking out. And that is why there are some disagreements in the ranks

The aren't Nuggets anymore; all 3 are free agents; Smith, KMart, and Chandler.  I'm sure the Nuggets owner is crying at the fact that he can't over these guys and lose more money <sarcasm>.

well, they were at least a 1st round exit with these guys...without them, off to lotteryville!

but if there is a season, it means more likely the clips are out of the top 10 worst!

This could be good news for the Celtics.

I read that the Chinese regular season ends around February with the playoffs going into March. One of those guys could come back to the NBA and try to latch onto a Contender on a short term contract.

Someone like K-Mart who was looking at his last big deal was highly unlikely to accept a one year MLE offer from anyone but this China thing ... might just put him back in play while maintaining that 2012 cap flexibility.

I was thinking along these lines as well.

I'm a little unclear though as to whether any of the 3 ex-Denver players going to China would be eligible to play for the remainder of the NBA season + playoffs. Some reports I've read say they won't be able to join the NBA 2011/2012 season at all, others say not till March.

Given the cut off date in late February for players to become free agents and be eligible for playoffs, would that mean their availability could hinge on whether or not their Chinese team makes the playoffs? ???

Messy situation.

Well, I am not sure if that rule refers to being on rosters in other leagues as well as the NBA after March 1st...but either way, who knows whether it will even be in the new CBA.  Those are the type of rules that could very easily be changed in the new system.

I can't find a better place to put this but AK47 signed a three year contract for CSKA Moscow.  They're sorta acting like he might not be there that long
