Very unlikely, but you never know. Why no MLE? How does that hurt the Celts chances?Because in my scenario, there is no MLE, because it is a hard cap that the C's would be under. So, they would be able to compete with the other teams who can currently offer more. Also, in a hard cap system, teams will be more hesitant to overpay players, so it will be more of an even playing field moneywise, and the players will be more likely to go to a winning team. If the system is like the current system, Denver, Indy, NJ, or some other team with cap space will offer Nene and/or Chandler way too much money for them to even consider taking the MLE.

If we could get a center like Nene I would definitely reconsider this teams ability to contend. With that said no way he's going to sign here for the MLE.

Cap space. More options in the FA market. The injured and the aged could heal up. Howard possibility is higher.

I don't get that. For me as a fan, I would MUCH rather have a full season, than a "higher" chance of landing Howard in 2012.
